Tannery Industry Environmental Protection Self-Discipline Group Remove Industrial Pollution Hat

The leather industry does not solve the problem of energy conservation and emission reduction, it can not solve the basic survival problems, let alone the long-term development plan. This is the deep experience of the leather enterprises in recent ten years, especially in the past five years.

To this end, the China Leather Association has deliberate, five years of grinding sword, led the establishment of the tanning industry environmental self-discipline team, launched the "pollution cap" project.

At this time last year, the State Council promulgated the "light industry adjustment and revitalization plan", and put forward clear requirements for leather industry in the planning objectives.

For the requirements of energy conservation and emission reduction, in July 2009, the annual conference of tannery Specialized Committee held in Fuxin, Liaoning formally put forward the proposal to set up self-discipline group as the starting point and trumpeter of the industry to promote energy saving and emission reduction, and it is known as the "hat picking" action. To this end, the China Leather Association held a meeting on the establishment of a "self-discipline group on environmental protection in leather industry" at the end of the year.

After more than half a year's preparations, the association completed the work of the group structure in the beginning of the year.

On the morning of May 13th, the environmental protection self-discipline group of tanning industry convened its first working conference, officially unveiled to the whole industry.

At the meeting, around the goals, tasks, objectives and future deployment of the self-discipline group, members of the self-discipline group held a heated discussion and put forward a lot of constructive suggestions. According to the development form of leather industry, we discussed several key tasks such as "the target and strategy of the 12th Five-Year" planning and development of leather making industry, the announcement of implementation plan of the list of tannery enterprises meeting the requirements of environmental protection, and the discharge standard of pollutants in leather industry.

In the future, the group will assist relevant departments of the state to implement the national environmental protection industry policy, enhance the environmental protection and self-discipline ability of the tanning industry, and promote the new technologies of energy conservation, emission reduction and pollution control in the industry, and guide the industry to form a new image of the new leather industry.
