ICAC Expects The World'S Cotton Production In To Be More Than 20 Million Tons.

The International Cotton Advisory Committee estimates that the world's 2009/10 cotton production will be 23 million 600 thousand tons and the export volume will be 7 million 300 thousand tons.

In April 1st, the International Cotton Advisory Committee (ICAC) said on Wednesday (April 1st) that global cotton production will decline for the third consecutive quarter.

Cotton production in the global 2009/10 year is 23 million 600 thousand tons, and 23 million 700 thousand tons in 2008.

But demand is likely to increase slightly, as consumption grew from 23 million 600 thousand tons in 2008 to 23 million 700 thousand tons.

Global cotton exports increased from 6 million 200 thousand tons in 2008 to 7 million 300 thousand tons.
