Closing price refers to the paction price of a certain stock at the last paction before the end of a day's trading activities.

If there is no paction on that day, the latest closing price will be used as the closing price, because the closing price is the standard of the day market and the basis for the opening price of the next trading day, which can be used to predict the future stock market; therefore, when investors analyze the market, they usually use the closing price as the basis of calculation.
