Shenzhen Customs Seized 2758 Smuggling Mink Skin

The Customs announced yesterday that 2758 items of mink skin were found in the immigration inspection channel in July 24th.
It is reported that this is the largest number of water marten smuggling cases seized this year.
On the morning of the incident, seven commercial vehicles with a license plate number of Guangdong ZUXXX port were checked by customs through the Shenzhen bay without entering a declaration channel.
When the customs officer inquired about the driver's and passenger's declarations, the driver and the passenger indicated that they had no goods to declare to the customs.
After inspection by customs officers, 3 knitted bags were placed between the second rows and third rows of seats in the vehicle, and there were 2758 mink sacks in the woven bags.
At present, the case has been pferred to the anti smuggling department for further processing.
According to customs officials at Shenzhen Bay, 70% of the world's mink is processed in China.

The demand is very large, but the supply of domestic mink is insufficient. Most of them rely on imports. Because processing and production markets are all in the country, according to the relevant regulations, mink skin needs to pay taxes through normal general trade import, and it needs the license issued by the relevant departments of the state to import.
