Consumption Clothing For Women

In December 17th, the Sixth China Women consumption high-level forum was held in Beijing.

In this forum, the city women's clothing consumption survey report was released in 2010.


According to the survey, urban women in 2010

Taking "costumes" as the largest expenditure, ranking the top of consumption, the "top spot" status has been in the five consecutive year.

It is related to the fact that women in Beijing are most willing to buy clothes for themselves and their families, ranking first in the annual expenditure on personal clothing for women with 6295.33 yuan per capita, and second and third in Shanghai and Changsha respectively. Dalian women are most willing to spend on expensive clothing, the average consumption of 1911.57 yuan / piece (clothing) ranks first, Guangzhou and Harbin ranks second and third; among the most expensive (suit) clothes purchased by urban women, the top ones are casual wear and second are professional wear.


The age structure shows that the average clothing expenditure of the 31~40 year old urban women is 5082.10 yuan, ranking the highest in all age groups. 41~50 year old women are the most generous buyers of high-end clothing, and the average cost of buying one item is 2019.85 yuan, ranking the highest among women of all ages.


The brand characteristics show that Chinese women prefer domestic clothing brands, and choose the "domestic brand" ranks first in the most expensive (one) garment purchased by urban women, reaching 49.3%; choosing more than 60% of "domestic brand" and "joint venture brand"; the awareness of urban women for international brands is related to the degree of internationalization of cities; the cities with higher proportion of international brands are Beijing, Dalian and Shanghai.

And price, the biggest demand for clothing is casual wear, the interest in advanced uniforms is beginning to show, and the dignified and generous is the most desired dress effect. The first criterion of "good clothes" is reasonable price performance, and clothing consumption needs the knowledge of dress matching most.

The survey shows that the beautiful consumption represented by clothing, cosmetics, beauty salons and so on has become the highlight of urban women's personal consumption, showing the trend of consumption popularization, quality, upscale and branding.

In the data of the increasing consumption of beautiful women, the purchase of clothing and clothing is the eternal theme in women's consumption. In the first 10 months of this year, 96.8% of the respondents had clothing and clothing consumption experience, and the average expenditure for buying clothes for them was 4267 yuan, and the average opening expenditure for the whole family was 8793 yuan.

Respondents bought themselves the most expensive item (clothing) on average for 1390 yuan.


Online shopping has become one of the most important shopping methods for women: in 2010, the number of respondents who participated in online shopping reached 70.8%, which accounted for only 42.3% of the total number of respondents in the previous year. The number of respondents who participated in online shopping reached 90.7% in Beijing, the highest in 10 cities, and 18~30 years old respondents were the highest proportion of online shoppers. 39.8% of those aged 51~60 years old participated in online shopping.


Urban women have a strong desire for green environmental protection: 89.1% of respondents have green environmental protection consumption consciousness.

22% of the respondents were not affected by the price while shopping, they must buy green products, and 67.1% of respondents would choose green products if they could afford the price.
