Clothing MaintenanceClothing QualityClothing Materials

  (1) cotton Hemp clothing: When storing, clothes must be washed, dried and folded flat. Wardrobes, cabinets and boxes, and polyethylene packaging bags must be kept clean and dry to prevent mildew. It is better to separate the white clothes from the dark clothes when storing them to prevent staining or yellowing.

(2) Silk clothing: when collecting, to prevent moisture and dust, cover the clothing with a layer of cotton cloth or wrap the silk clothing. White clothes cannot be placed in camphor wood boxes, nor can camphor balls be placed, or they will easily turn yellow.

(3) Woolen clothes: After wearing various woolen clothes for a period of time, they should be dried and patted to remove dust. Keep in a dry place when not wearing. It is better to hang and store the fabric, and turn the reverse side outward to prevent fading, weathering and wind marks. Before storage, it shall be brushed or washed, ironed, dried and ventilated for one day. It is better to hang high-grade woolen clothes in the wardrobe, and do not stack them, so as not to affect the appearance due to deformation. When storing full wool or blended clothing, camphor balls should be wrapped with tissue paper and placed in the pocket of the clothing or in the wardrobe or box. Plush clothing should be stored separately from other clothing to avoid falling down and contaminating other clothing.

(4) Chemical fiber clothing: artificial fiber clothing should be laid flat and should not be hung for a long time to avoid elongation due to overhang. When storing blended fabric clothing containing natural fibers, put a small amount of camphor pills or insect removers, but do not touch them; For polyester, nylon and other synthetic fiber clothing, camphor pills and sanitary balls are not required to be put, so as to avoid damage to clothing and fabrics caused by naphthalene.

Maintenance skills of several special fabrics:

? 1. Maintenance of cotton and linen clothing

Cotton and linen are composed of cellulose macromolecules with good moisture absorption. During storage, it is mainly used to prevent mildew, that is, to prevent the reproduction of mold microorganisms. The main method is to keep the fabric clean and dry, especially in rainy summer season, pay attention to inspection and drying.

2. Wool fabric clothing maintenance

Attention shall be paid when ironing:

(1) The temperature of the iron can be properly higher, and the dirty parts on the woolen clothes can be ironed several times, but do not directly touch the woolen cloth to avoid lighting;

(2) Towels should be rinsed clean in water, and the warm water in the basin should be updated constantly;

(3) After "dry cleaning", the woolen cloth can be hung on a hanger and used after it is fully dried.

Woolen cloth clothes are prone to damp and mildew. Because wool contains oil and protein, it is also easy to be eaten by insects and rats. The following points should be noted during storage:

(1) It is better not to fold it, but hang it on the hanger and store it in the cabinet to avoid wrinkles when wearing.

(2) The clothes storage cabinet should be kept clean and dry. The temperature should be kept below 25 ℃ and the relative humidity should be below 60%. At the same time, camphor balls should be put in to avoid damp, mildew or insects. The stored clothes should be shaded from direct sunlight to prevent fading.

(3) It should be taken out to dry frequently (do not expose to the sun), dusted and dusted to remove moisture. After drying, wait until it is completely cool before putting it into the cabinet.

(4) When the worn clothes need to be stored due to the change of seasons, they should be cleaned to avoid mildew or insects caused by sweat and dust.

3. Maintenance of silk clothing

The foundation for maintaining silk garments is to wear them carefully. Silk has high strength and good abrasion resistance due to the protection of sericin outside the silk. However, because the silk fiber is too fine, it should not be hard injured. Any contact with rough materials with burrs will often cause the silk to "jump" and cause damage. In addition, do not wear silk clothes to sleep on rough objects such as mats, rattan chairs, boards, etc., to avoid unnecessary damage or silk merging.

Alkali has a great destructive effect on silk. When wearing silk summer clothes, you must avoid contact with alkali containing substances. At the same time, silk is also greatly affected by salt. Salt in human sweat can make light silk summer clothes yellow and red spots, so when wearing silk summer clothes, you should pay attention to frequent washing to keep the surface clean.

It is best to use neutral soap flakes or high-grade detergents for washing silk summer clothes. Use hot water to dissolve the soap solution, cool it and soak the silk summer clothes. Rub it with hands (pay attention not to rub it with washboard, but also to avoid twisting). After washing, pour the soap solution completely, otherwise it will be easy to become bloated. Summer clothes washed with dark silk can only be bleached repeatedly in clean water. Soap flakes and other detergents cannot be used to avoid soap stains and whitening.

When washing brightly colored silk summer clothes, a little salt can be added to avoid fading. Because silk is easy to be brittle under the action of ultraviolet ray in the sun, and the color fastness of silk is poor, it cannot be exposed to the sun after washing, and should be hung in a ventilated place to dry in the shade.

When the silk summer clothes are 80% dry, cover the clothes with white cloth and iron them with an iron. The temperature should not be higher than 130 ℃, otherwise the silk will be damaged. It is not necessary to spray water when ironing to avoid water stains.

Silk is a kind of protein fiber with strong hygroscopicity. When the environment is relatively humid, some molds and bacteria are easy to grow and reproduce on the fabric. When collecting, the clothes should be washed first, and it is better to iron them once, which can kill bacteria and insects. Keep the wardrobe and suitcase clean and dry.

Silk clothes are thin, soft, and resistant to pressure. They can be put on the clothes pile. Light colored silk clothes are best stored in white cloth bags to prevent wind stains and yellow stains. It is not suitable to put sanitary balls in silk clothing, or the white will turn yellow. Tussah silk should not be put together with mulberry silk, because the former will discolor the latter.

4. Maintenance of chemical fiber clothing

Viscose fiber clothing has poor wear resistance and is prone to fuzzing and deformation, so it should be worn or washed with less rubbing and twisting. Do not hang for a long time to avoid elongation and deformation. Wash and dry when collecting, and avoid high humidity and high temperature environment.

Except for acrylic and vinylon, synthetic clothing should not be exposed to the sun for a long time, otherwise it is easy to age, become hard and brittle, and its strength will decline. When collecting, wash and dry, do not put sanitary balls or camphor slices. If there are wool ingredients in the blend, put a small amount of camphor flakes and wrap them with paper. Do not let camphor come into direct contact with clothing. For commonly used acrylic and vinylon clothes, the following methods should be mastered:

(1) Acrylic clothing. When washing, soak the clothes in warm water with soap solution or washing powder, and gently rub them. Thick fabrics can be lightly brushed with a soft brush and then rinsed with clean water. Gently wring away the moisture and drying in a ventilated place in the shade. Do not expose to the sun.

When ironing, a damp cloth should be lined on the clothes, and the temperature should be controlled below 150 ℃ (if the temperature is too high, it is easy to fade).

Since this kind of fabric is not afraid of being eaten by insects, it is not necessary to place camphor balls when collecting, but it should be kept clean and dry to avoid some mold spots on viscose fibers.

(2) Vinylon clothing. The washing method is the same as that of cotton fabrics, but do not use too heavy alkaline soap and too hot water, and do not use too much force to avoid fiber shrinkage, hardening and pilling.

The ironing must be carried out when the fabric is dry, and do not spray water (it is easy to shrink when ironing is wet). A piece of plain cloth should be padded on it, and the temperature should not exceed 110 ℃.

Vinylon fabrics should not be baked at high temperature, or they will be hard, burnt yellow, or even brittle.

This kind of textile is not afraid of moth eaten, nor susceptible to mold erosion. Wash the fabric before collection and keep it clean and dry.

5. Down clothing maintenance

When washing down clothes, it is forbidden to use alkaline substances, stir with washing machine or rub with hands, twist, and bake with open fire.

Down clothing should not be worn with holes caused by hooking and friction, and should not be in contact with strong acids and alkalis. Wash and dry when collecting to avoid heavy pressure. To be specific, we should do the following:

(1) Keep damp and dry frequently. In winter, eiderdown products should be dried in the sun every 3-5 days. When drying, wooden sticks can be used to gently beat to remove moisture and soften them, so as to extend their service life.

(2) Beware of hard injuries. The fabric of down products is generally afraid of being scratched by sharp tools such as nails and knives, because this will cause the down to fly away, which will not only hinder washing, but also make the down products scrapped. You should be careful when wearing. In addition, it is also necessary to prevent cigarette ends and open flames from burning them.

(3) Collect carefully. The down jacket before collection must be washed and dried to prevent mildew and insects. A thin layer of wax grease shall be applied on the metal buckle and the zipper of down products to avoid rust. When collecting, it can be put into a large capacity plastic bag and then put into the box. Do not put camphor balls in the box.

The correct washing method is:

(1) If the down jacket is not too dirty, it can be dry cleaned. Use a brush dipped in gasoline to gently wipe the collar, cuff, front, etc. After the oil stain is removed, use a dry towel to wipe the place stained with gasoline, and wear it after the gasoline volatilizes.

(2) If the down jacket is too dirty, only use the overall water washing method. First soak the down jacket in cold water for 20 minutes. Use about 2 tablespoons of washing powder to pour into the clear water with the temperature of 20-30 ℃, mix well, then put it into the water, take it out of the clear water and squeeze the water out of the down jacket, soak it for 5-10 minutes. Take out the down from the washing solution, lay it on a clean table, and gently brush it from inside to outside with a soft bristle brush dipped in the washing solution. After cleaning, put the clothes in the detergent for several times, rinse them twice in 30 ℃ warm water, and then rinse them three times in clean water to completely remove the detergent residue. Take the washed down into a clean cloth roll and gently squeeze out the water, then put it in the sun or in a ventilated place to dry. After drying, gently pat the coat surface with a stick to restore the original fluffy and soft down jacket.

6. Maintenance of leather clothing

Do not wipe the leather clothes with water or gasoline if they are stained with oil. Because water can harden the leather, and gasoline can volatilize the oil contained in the leather and dry it. It is best to gently wipe the dirt with a flannelette or a soft bristle brush. After wiping it clean, apply a little Vaseline, and then wipe it with a soft cloth.

After wearing the leather clothing for a long time, the leather surface will blister and anti nitrate. At this time, 50g rice flour, 10g leather nitrate and 2.5g fine salt can be used, and a little water can be added to stir it into a sticky paste. Then it can be rubbed on the anti nitrate place to restore the original state. If the surface of the leather garment is dry and cracked, paraffin or egg white can be embedded in the gap, and then the warm iron can be used for ironing. Leather clothing is generally polished in a washing and dyeing shop after 1-2 years of wearing, which can make it beautiful as new and durable.

When wearing leather clothes, be careful not to contact with sharp and rough objects to prevent cutting or scratching. It is not suitable to wear it in rainy and snowy days to prevent the strength from dropping after being affected with damp. Leather clothes can only be dried in a ventilated and cool place, not in the sun. It should not be folded when collecting, and should be hung in the cupboard with a coat hanger. When storing, do not stick closely with other leather articles and articles to prevent adhesion. Put a small amount of wrapped sanitary balls properly, pay attention to moisture-proof and mildew proof, and dry them in time after being affected with damp.
