Did You Buy The Baby Clothes Up To The Standard?
Beginning in August 1st, China's textile product "national textile product basic safety technical specification" was formally implemented, especially for infants and young children under 36 months of age.
clothing
It must conform to class a standard. The price tag must indicate the infant clothing, and the products that are not up to standard will be banned.
Recently, I visited the provincial capital children's wear market and found that there are still some children's clothes that are not standardized in the market. Most consumers do not know the new national standard.
To this end, the provincial Consumers Association related experts call for consumers to grasp the necessary knowledge to buy children's clothing, to avoid buying unqualified or eliminated products.
There are still some new clothes that are not in line with the new national standard.
It is understood that textiles are divided into three grades: A, B, and C. Class A is for infants and girls wear, B level is for direct contact with skin, and C is for direct contact with skin.
The new national standard for textiles officially implemented this month stipulates that children's clothing under the age of 3 must conform to class a standards, otherwise they will be banned from production and sale.
In addition, the new national standard has strictly stipulated the formaldehyde content and pH value of the three grades of textiles.
Among them, the standard of class a infant should be stricter than the other two grades.
In the new standard, the age limit for infants and young children is changed from "age 24 months to less" to "36 months or less."
That is to say, children's clothing between the age of 2 and 3 is also included in the scope of infant clothing to receive more stringent quality control.
Recently, when I visited the provincial capital children's wear market, I found that although the safety technology category of infant clothing labels in the major shopping malls of the provincial capital basically has been classified as class A, some of the street shops still have some specifications suitable for children's clothing at the age of 2-3, which are not identified as baby clothes, and the safety technology category is also B.
In this regard, a children's clothing shop owner of the Qing Yuan Street in the provincial capital explained that children's articles only apply to class a standards only if they are closely dressed. Others apply to the B standard. They sell mainly outside clothes, not clothing, and of course not applicable to class a standards.
Ms. Liu is buying clothes for her two and a half child in a children's clothing store on the Green Garden Street in the provincial capital. She said she did not know the new national standard. "I buy clothes for my children mostly on the feeling, mainly concerned about comfort, mostly in pure cotton cloth, and I don't know what standards they have."
When I introduced the new national standard to Ms. Liu, she seemed very happy. "After all, the skin of the baby is delicate and easy to be hurt. The clothes I bought back should be scalded with boiling water. Now there are strict standards, which make us parents feel relieved."
Buying children's clothing depends on the birth certificate.
According to the introduction, the quality problems such as excessive formaldehyde content and less color fastness in textiles will threaten people's health. If the pH value of textiles is too large to the human skin, it will stimulate the skin and make it easy for the bacteria to enter the human body.
Dyed fabrics, dyes will adhere to the surface of human skin, long-term accumulation will cause harm to the human body.
Especially in infants and young children, both skin and other organs are more sensitive than adults. If they are not properly protected, they may cause a variety of health hazards.
The Provincial Consumer Association official said that the introduction of the new standard provided a strong guarantee for infants' clothing. However, the elimination of unqualified clothing in the market before it took a certain time.
He reminded consumers that, with the implementation of the national mandatory standards, some children's clothing that is not up to standard will be phased out gradually. During this period, consumers should pay more attention to the content of the new national standard of the textiles, and when purchasing, they should ask the businessmen to check the safety quality inspection signs that meet the standards, so as to avoid buying unqualified or eliminated products.
Experts suggest that when parents buy children's clothing, they should first look at the "birth certificate" and identify the words "category a" and "baby products" on the label. Meanwhile, the contents of the manufacturer, factory name, site, product composition, and implementation standards can not be ignored.
In addition, when parents buy infant clothing, it is better to choose pure cotton products with less irritation to skin. The lighter colors and flower colors are safer than those with deep color and fancy patterns. Parents can also use white cloth to wipe clothes.
