Rising Demand Drives Burma'S Clothing Exports Up

When the "literati" government came into power in early 2011, it implemented some positive measures and reforms. In view of this, the United States and the European Union also responded to the relaxation of almost all economic sanctions against Burma in the second quarter of 2012.

Burma garment makers are optimistic about the prospects for their reasons.

In 2011, the total value of clothing exports in Burma rose to $770 million, more than two times that of 2003.

The European Union has responded positively to ILO's assessment and paved the way for the reintroduction of preferential tax regimes in Burma.

On the other hand, Kampuchea and Bangladesh are the least developed countries and have been provided by developed countries.
