China'S Leather Shoes Exports To EU Declined Sharply In The First Quarter

The 1 quarter of 2008, China's footwear exports to the EU 210 million pairs, 530 million US dollars, an increase of 13% and 11% respectively over the same period last year.

China's exports of leather shoes to the EU were 39 million 710 thousand double, or 340 million US dollars, down 19% and 6% respectively from the same period last year.

In the 1 quarter of 2008, China's footwear imports from the EU 550 thousand pairs, 46 million 660 thousand US dollars, up 56% and 71% respectively over the same period last year.

China imported 480 thousand pairs of leather shoes from the EU, 40 million 960 thousand US dollars, up 55% and 76% respectively over the same period last year.
