The Federation of textile industry of China said that from July to 2014, the garment industry in mainland China had completed 16 billion 670 million garment products, an increase of 3.93% over the same period last year, representing an increase of 4.22 percentage points over the same period in 2013, and production remained stable throughout the period from 1 to July.

The overall market scale continued to expand, but demand remained weak and the growth rate slowed down. Clothing retail sales totaled 476 billion 600 million yuan, an increase of 10.3% over the same period last year, down 1.5 percentage points from the same period last year.

Clothing exports in mainland China are generally low, but they are showing a gradual warming trend.

According to customs statistics, from 2014 to July, China's total exports of clothing and clothing accessories totaled 100 billion 233 million US dollars, up 5.79% from the same period last year, down 7.71 percentage points from the same period in 2013. The number of garment exports was 18 billion 463 million, an increase of 6.75% over the same period last year, down 1.21 percentage points from the same period last year. 1.

Garment exports in mainland China will be complicated in the next few years

Insiders said that in the next few years, the situation of garment export in mainland China is complicated, with favorable conditions and unfavorable factors coexisting. It is still facing difficulties such as insufficient demand, rising production costs, too much pressure on emission reduction and further intensification of international competition.

"In the international market, the inherent price advantage of the product gradually disappears.

Meanwhile, the textile industry in Vietnam, Kampuchea, Indonesia and other neighboring countries is developing rapidly, undertaking the pfer of some garment industries in mainland China.

Chen Dapeng, executive vice president of China Garment Association, said.

It is understood that about 80% of the textile and garment industries in mainland China are small and medium-sized enterprises, and they are the main force of social employment.

But compared with large enterprises, they face more difficulties in international competition, such as limited funds, low social status, and no attention.

Experts and entrepreneurs at the conference believe that the current situation of garment exports in mainland China has improved and the overall demand has been warmer. It is expected that the volume and volume of garment exports in 2014 will increase faster than that of the previous year, but at the same time, the pressure on clothing will be long-term.

Textile and garment industry moves towards medium speed and stable period to adapt to change and deepen.

reform

Is the key

Analyzing the statistics in recent years, experts believe that China's textile and garment industry is moving from a period of rapid growth to a steady growth period of medium speed.

Chen Dapeng, executive vice president of the Apparel Association of China, said that the pace of change in development is not a drop in the business cycle, but a fundamental change in the economic growth stage.

Under the new circumstances, it is particularly important to adapt to the new changes and choose the direction of change in order to achieve long-term sustained and steady growth under the new normal.

Da Peng Chen

He said: "we should have a deep understanding of the current and future consumer market, consumption demand and consumption patterns, correctly grasp the needs, and position ourselves, and give full play to our core competitiveness."

Clothing enterprises should do a solid job in R & D, design, product and management, and win the competition under the "new normal". Homogenization of competition can only bring disasters.

Sun Ruizhe, vice president of the China Textile Industry Federation, believes that the development of textile and garment enterprises should emphasize multiple integration. With the rapid development of Internet technology at present, cloud platform, huge amounts of information and mobile payment and other information technology and rapid response, new lifestyle marketing and other diversified integration in the field of garment industry will promote and stimulate the industry obviously, especially the clothing e-commerce online consumption has an annual growth rate of 30-40%.

Textile and garment enterprises

We must grasp the "big trend" and focus on the future.

Wang Tiankai, President of the Federation of textile industry, said that with the shift of the global economic center, the formation of new consumer groups and the new consumer market will inevitably bring about a series of changes in the layout of productive forces. Textile and garment enterprises should focus on shaping the core competitiveness of the medium and long term, and compare with some international brand enterprises in the domestic market to find gaps.
