Textile technology startups EvrnuTM (SPC) and global cowboy fashion leader Levi Strauss & Co. LS&Co. (LS&Co.) announced that the two companies have worked together to produce the world's first pair of jeans made of recycled waste cotton.

With the help of the new recycling technology in the patent application, the waste discarded by consumers can be pformed into renewable fiber.

The first prototype represented by a classic Levi 's 511 511 jeans is represented.

In the future of the industry, textile waste will be greatly reduced, and cotton clothing can be regenerated continuously to create a more sustainable world.

In the US region alone, the annual textile waste is as high as 13 million 100 thousand tons, of which 11 million tons are eventually burned in landfills.

At present, there is no feasible solution to effectively turn old clothes into new ones without affecting the quality or durability.

Relying on Evrnu technology, the abandoned cotton clothes can be pformed into new ones.

So as to create new possibilities.

According to Evrnu data, the Levi 's Jeans' prototype developed by Evrnu and LS&Co. innovation team is made of about 5 discarded cotton t-shirts, and the water consumption ratio is

98% less.

The two companies have a common vision to create a recycling economy, which aims to extend the life of cotton cloth and eliminate waste by giving new life to old clothes.

Evrnu chief executive Stacy Flynn said: "LS&Co. is the perfect partner to show our technology and capabilities, because it is not only a landmark company in the United States, but also widely recognized by the world.

Our desire is to create a Levi's jeans that are beautiful and resilience, and we are making significant progress towards this goal. "

For LS&Co., this cooperation is part of its broader strategy of innovation and sustainable development.

LS&Co. recently released its Water to the world.

Through its life cycle assessment, LS&Co. found that cotton growing stage had the greatest impact on water consumption in the product life cycle.

In the life cycle of a pair of jeans, cotton fabric accounts for 68% of the total water consumption, so it has the greatest water saving opportunity.

Dillinger continued to say: "the clothing industry is likely to significantly reduce its water footprint due to new fiber innovations to solve the water-saving problem.

With the continuous development of technology such as Evrnu, there will be more and more opportunities to accelerate the pace of change towards the closed loop garment industry.

Paul Dillinger, director of global product innovation at Levi Strauss & Co., said: "the birth of the first prototype is a major step forward in clothing innovation.

It is possible for us to reduce the amount of water needed to grow raw cotton by 98%, and give all clothing a new life for many times.

Although it is in its early stage, this technology has great potential and is also an exciting progress in this process as we explore the use of recycled cotton to help reduce the overall impact of the industry on the earth. "

LS&Co. is the first clothing company to collaborate with Evrnu and subvert its industry structure.

Evrnu executives expect that the entry of LS&Co. will enhance investor concerns and that it will take the first step towards the future commercialization of their clothing recycling technology.
