Netherlands focusing on wearable technology fashion designer Pauline van Dongen has launched new works.

She cooperated with Waddenvereniging, the Netherlands Walden Marine Association, to design a fashion for outdoor guides working in Walden Sea Island Nature Reserve Windbreaker The energy stored at one time can continue to charge the mobile phone for two hours, and it can also connect to the GPS device to meet the power needs of guides who have been walking outside for a long time.

These are called Wad Walkers' tour guides often work at the seaside. When the tide ebbs, the Walden Sea will reveal vast mudflats. The guides will help hikers explore these unknown areas - so they often need to walk for more than 10 hours without charging.

"Wad Walkers needs to face different weather conditions, including strong wind and rain, which we also considered in the design." van Dongen explained that although the solar windbreaker is most useful in sunny days, it is also waterproof and can be used in different seasons.

There are 3 solar panels on the front of the windbreaker

The windbreaker is made of recycled denim twill coarse cotton yarn provided by BlueLOOP Originals. The collar of the windbreaker has a hidden zipper, which can be opened to take out a hoodie. Three soft solar panels are attached to the front of the windbreaker, so it does not affect the guides to carry a backpack at the back. If you forget to bring the connection cable, the electric induction charging system of the windbreaker also supports wireless charging.

Although this windbreaker is specially designed for guides, the solar shirt with similar principle launched by van Dongen not long ago is designed for the public, although it has not yet started to sell.

The solar shirt can store more energy and charge for several hours. Supported charging devices include smart phones, MP3 players, cameras, GPS devices and other USB rechargeable devices. If it is not necessary to charge for the time being, the power in the shirt will also be reserved for later use.

Van Dongen had the idea of designing solar charging clothing since 2013. Before that, she also launched a series of solar parka coats, jackets and skirts.

To be honest, the charging needs of those who rely heavily on electronic equipment really need to be met.
