The European Parliament Voted To Exclude The No European Agreement Without "Backup Arrangements".

 

The European Parliament adopted a resolution on the 18 day with 544 votes in favour, 126 votes against and 38 abstentions, and said it would veto the "off Europe" agreement without a "backup arrangement".

The "backup arrangement" as the EU's "insurance policy" is designed to ensure that there is no "hard boundary" between the British Northern Ireland and Ireland. In a subsequent statement issued by the European Parliament, the European Parliament said it was open to "legal and operational alternatives to backup arrangements" and stressed that Britain would be fully responsible for "no agreement to leave Europe".

The statement said that "no agreement to take off Europe" does not exempt Britain from paying the "breakup fee" and protecting the EU's obligations in respect of British citizenship and compliance with the Belfast agreement.

The statement stressed that the European Parliament would be open to British applications if Britain applied for a further extension of the deadline and had reasonable and clear reasons, such as avoiding a "no-agreement" exit, holding general elections or referendums.

On the 16 th of this month, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson met with Luxemburg and the chairman of the European Commission, Juncker, on the "backup arrangement" of the "off Europe" agreement. However, the two sides failed to bridge differences and the meeting ended in no way.

The house of Commons in Britain has vetoed the EU's "de EU" agreement with the European Union three times before Teresa May, and voted against "no agreement to break Europe". To this end, the British government has applied to the EU for the two time to postpone "off Europe". The latest "off Europe" period is October 31st.
