1、 Resumption of "Alibaba female employees' infringement"
On August 7, Ali female employees' network self explosion was violated by the leaders and merchants. In the early morning of August 9, Zhang Yong, chairman and CEO of Alibaba's board of directors, announced on Alibaba's intranet the periodic internal investigation results and handling decisions on "female employees being violated": Li Yonghe, President of local retail business group, and HRG Xu Kun resigned; Tong Wenhong, chief human resources officer of Alibaba, recorded demerits; suspected male employees were dismissed and never employed... On the same day, Hangzhou women's Federation is concerned about the matter and said it is studying relevant measures with the provincial women's Federation. At the same time, people's daily commented on the incident, calling for attention to corporate cultural values and respect for "human" rights.
According to the online statement of the female employee, she reported to the company on July 27, more than 10 days after the hot spot exploded on August 8. After the incident was exposed through the Internet, Alibaba's share price fell short and opened low, with a decline of 4.78% in the intraday period, causing serious economic losses. As a huge enterprise with 250000 employees, Ali's HR team was also criticized by the majority of netizens and media in this incident, and the enterprise values were also severely criticized.
2、 Gender equality and the protection of employees' rights and interests (especially the rights and interests of female employees) are important contents of international social responsibility code of conduct
Corporate social responsibility (CSR) refers to that enterprises should not only create profits and bear legal responsibilities to shareholders and employees, but also bear the responsibilities to consumers, communities and the environment. Corporate social responsibility emphasizes the attention to human-oriented value in the production process, emphasizes the protection of ecological environment and the contribution of social value. Human resources are not only the main creators of social wealth, but also the important support to promote economic development. Enterprises must respect workers' rights, protect their basic rights and interests, create a healthy and safe production environment, help employees grow and stimulate their creativity.
For Chinese enterprises, the concept of social responsibility is an "imported product". The construction of corporate social responsibility in China was first carried out in the textile and garment industry. This situation is closely related to the fact that since the reform and opening up, China's textile and garment enterprises are the first to go abroad to participate in global value chain competition and international division of labor. In the early 1990s, American garment manufacturer Levi Strauss launched the "anti sweatshop movement" against the garment and footwear industries because of the negative news of forced labor in its factories in Asia and China. Levi Strauss was also the first to formulate the company's first production code to prevent forced labor in upstream enterprises of its overseas supply chain. Many famous brand companies have also established their own production codes, which later evolved into the "enterprise production code movement", and gradually changed from the "internal production code" of "self-regulation" to the "external production code" of "social regulation", which urges enterprises to fulfill their social responsibilities and protect employees' rights and interests.
In 2000, the United Nations implemented the "Global Compact", in which respect for human rights and protection of labor rights and interests are its important principles. The world organization for economic cooperation and development, the international labor organization and the international organization for standardization are also actively promoting enterprises to pay attention to and protect the rights and interests of employees. The most representative international social responsibility codes of conduct of "concern for labor rights and interests" include Belgium's business compliance with social responsibility initiative (BSCI), American international standards for social responsibility (SA8000), American global garment production social responsibility organization principles (wrap) and British ethical procurement Initiative (ETI), Improve the working conditions of workers to achieve fairness, dignity and dignity.
3、 Practice and system construction of people oriented responsibility in China's textile and garment industry
In 2005, China Textile Industry Federation took the lead in formulating the first code of conduct for industry social responsibility, namely CSC9000T textile and garment enterprise social responsibility management system, which was the first to implement the construction of social responsibility with human-oriented responsibility as an important content in the whole industry. It also cooperated with international organizations such as ILO, UN women's office and social responsibility standard setting organizations to pay attention to the protection of the rights and interests of employees in the textile industry and the improvement of their abilities. In view of the high proportion of female employees in the industry, a large number of investigations and studies have been carried out on issues such as gender equality and protection of women employees' rights and interests. It helps enterprises to establish the enterprise system of gender equality, prevent harassment and abuse, enhance the legal protection awareness of female employees in the industry, help enterprises avoid the risk of social responsibility in management, and finally improve the social responsibility governance level of China's textile and garment enterprises.
China's textile and clothing industry, as "the pillar industry of national economic and social development, the basic industry to solve people's livelihood and beautify life, and the advantageous industry of international cooperation and integrated development", directly attracts more than 20 million employees, including more than 60% of female employees, especially in the first-line factories. Female employees have made great contributions to the vigorous development of China's textile and garment industry. They are not only the core driver of the rapid development of the industry, but also the important cornerstone of social stability and the key support for the realization of sustainable development. Gender equality and the protection of employees' rights and interests are the most basic social responsibility behavior standards of modern enterprises. Enterprises and brands, especially listed companies, must learn from the public relations event of "Alibaba female employees being infringed", enhance their sense of social responsibility, and establish a corporate social responsibility management system with the guidance of CSC9000T.
