The Activity Of "Exploring The Bay Area - Starting Knitting" Of Hong Kong Zhizhuo Design Institute Entered Dongguan Dalang

From July 15 to 17, the "Bay Area Exploration Trip - Knitting Sail" activity of the Fashion and Image Design Department of the Hong Kong Institute of Design successfully entered Dongguan Dalang, the World Woolen Weaving Capital 。 The purpose of this activity is to Deeply understand the development status and innovative achievements of the Dalang wool industry, and promote the exchange and cooperation of fashion education and industry between the two places 。

On July 16, a group of more than 20 teachers and students from the Design Institute of Hong Kong Zhizhuo University visited the Dalang Woolen Weaving Trade Center. Zhong Jinfa, Deputy Secretary of the Party Branch of the Woolen Weaving Industry Chain in Dalang Woolen Weaving Town and Secretary of the Party Branch of the Designer Association, accompanied the visit. During the activity, teachers and students learned about the development history and industrial characteristics of Dalang Woolen Weaving in detail, and expressed strong interest in Dalang Woolen Weaving innovation service platform and Dalang optimization platform. They all said that Dalang has such a rich variety of yarn raw materials, which is of great help to the development of knitting education.

During the visit, Zhong Jinfa had in-depth exchanges and discussions with the representatives of teachers and students of the Hong Kong Zhizhuo Design Institute on such topics as the cooperation between the two places in production and education, and the implementation of design. Zhong Jinfa, on behalf of the Dalang Woolen Weaving Management Committee, also sent a sincere invitation to the Hong Kong Zhizhuo Design Institute, hoping that they could participate in the annual Dalang Weaving Fair to further strengthen the exchanges and cooperation between the two sides.

In addition, the delegation from Hong Kong Zhizhuo Design Institute also visited many well-known wool weaving enterprises, such as Guanghui Knitting, Fufa Clothing, Daojing Computerized Flat Knitting Machine, Rongtong Textile, and Dongguan Polytechnic Institute, to fully understand the production process, technological innovation, talent training and other aspects of the Dalang wool weaving industry.

The "Bay Area Exploration Tour - Knitting Sailing" activity not only provided practical learning opportunities for the teachers and students of the Hong Kong Institute of Design, but also built a platform for exchange and cooperation between the Dalang knitting industry and the Hong Kong fashion education industry.
