Hebei Fashion Design Competition Review Meeting Held In Shijiazhuang

The 2024 Hebei Fashion Design Competition hosted by Hebei Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology and undertaken by Hebei Textile and Clothing Industry Association held a review meeting in Yiyuan Hotel, Shijiazhuang on August 2. Liu Zhicheng, director of the Light Industry Department of Hebei Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, Gu Mi, deputy director, and Lu Bing, chief staff member attended the meeting.

Liu Lianhong, president of Hebei Textile and Clothing Industry Association, said that after screening this year's contest, more than 100 sets of clothing from 23 contestants participated in the review. The Association attaches great importance to the organization of the design contest, carefully and meticulously makes all preparations with a rigorous attitude, builds a platform for display, communication, learning and promotion of clothing designers in the province, cultivates Hebei's excellent clothing designer talent team, and lays a solid talent foundation for promoting new quality productivity.

Gu Mi, deputy director of the Light Industry Division of the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Hebei Province, said that the provincial party committee and government listed modern light textile as one of the nine leading industries in the province, and proposed to strengthen the design leadership, improve the level of intelligent manufacturing, make a regional brand, and strive to build modern light textile into a model of transformation and upgrading of traditional industries and high-quality development in our province. The Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology has organized the annual fashion design contest since 2018. In order to hold this year's contest well, in April, the provincial fashion designer ability promotion exchange activity was held in Qinghe County, inviting well-known experts to give lectures.

Gumi raised hopes and requirements for this competition: first, ensure that the evaluation work is fair, impartial and professional; Second, it is necessary to highlight the characteristics of ICT, strengthen market orientation while focusing on creativity, make design works more practical and user-friendly, and help enterprises to develop markets; Third, implement the Opinions of the General Office of the State Council on Developing the Silver Hair Economy and Improving the Welfare of the Elderly, guide and encourage designers to develop comfortable, beautiful and functional clothing for the elderly.
