According to relevant statistics, more than 70% of Qingdao's textile and clothing industry is concentrated in Jimo District, where there are more than 3800 textile and clothing enterprises, with an annual output of about 800 million pieces of various clothing. From manufacturing to intelligent manufacturing
In the flow sewing link of Kute Intelligent Manufacturing Factory, each worker has a computer in front of him. The employee swipes his card to read the customer's order information and starts sewing according to the customer's personalized needs.
"Every order entering the factory will form a small database, which is equivalent to customizing an ID card for each garment. This ID card will accompany the garment through all customization processes," said Ma Yuming, brand director of Qingdao Kute Intelligent Co., Ltd.
In the past, the sales mode was production and resale, which inevitably led to inventory. In the past, the clothing industry often heard this saying: work hard for a year and earn only inventory. Today, the fabric, style and process of each product are all personalized according to customer needs. Each garment is sold before production, truly realizing the whole process of data driven, on-demand production and zero inventory.
Previously, affected by the production process, workers had to work in a high temperature and humidity environment, with high labor intensity. For a long time, it was difficult to recruit workers, improve quality, and control costs. Now, when entering the instant intelligent spinning factory, more than 200 sets of equipment are roaring and running. Except for a few key links, from the entry of raw materials to the warehousing of products, all of them are completed by robots or hangers. This is also the first intelligent spinning project launched in Qingdao, and its intelligence level is leading in China.

For the same sweater, the substantial increase in price comes from the empowerment of technology. Compared with traditional garment manufacturers, which fight price wars and win by volume, Xueda focuses on the research and development of functional fabrics through scientific and technological innovation. Many new functional products, such as natural plant fiber, light energy antibacterial fiber textiles, biological medicine textiles, which are independently developed by Xueda, have won a number of national invention patents.
Eleven enterprises have completed the identification of intelligent factories, digital workshops and automatic production lines at all levels, the first industrial production line with an annual output of 1000 tons of waterless dyeing of Jifa Group has been put into operation, and Hongni Clothing has built a green, sterile, visual and intelligent factory... In recent years, Jimo District has taken textile and clothing as the main battlefield of industrial transformation and upgrading, through digital empowerment and technology empowerment, Constantly promote the textile and clothing industry to a new level.
At present, there are 85 textile and clothing enterprises above the Jimo scale, 3 "chain owners" (Jifa Group, Xueda Group and Kute Intelligent), and a number of leading backbone enterprises, including the largest knitting enterprise in China, Jifa Group, Xueda Group, Hongni Group, and Kute Intelligent, the leader of personalized customization; It has 2 national industrial brand cultivation demonstration enterprises, 1 national manufacturing single champion, 67 specialized and new enterprises, and 2 invisible champions. In the first half of 2024, the output value of 85 textile and clothing enterprises above the designated size in the district will reach 8 billion yuan, up 3.8% year on year.
From OEM to brand
The textile industry was once a business card of Qingdao, but now Qingdao has a new business card - Jimo Children's Wear.
Jimo Ounuojia Garment Co., Ltd. is one of the earliest enterprises engaged in children's clothing in Jimo. "20 years ago, Jimo children's clothing was a little famous. However, in the face of huge demand, many children's clothing enterprises initially won by quantity, ignoring the development of the brand." In recent years, Jimo District has accelerated the cultivation of children's wear brands and driven the upgrading of industrial competitiveness - registered the geographical indication of "Jimo Children's Wear", organized more than 100 children's wear brand enterprises to participate in high-end exhibitions such as Shanghai Pregnancy&Baby Fair, Jingzheng Pregnancy&Baby Fair, and launched the regional brand of "Jimo Children's Wear"; Establish a brand project cultivation library, bring 118 brands from 93 enterprises into the cultivation library, and cultivate a large number of independent brands of children's clothing such as Hechu, Shengkai Angel, Mianlala, etc.

Jimo, together with Huli and Humen in Guangdong, is known as the three largest children's clothing production bases in China, and has won national titles such as "China's Famous Children's Wear City", "World class Children's Wear Industry Cluster Pioneer Area", "Industry Cluster with the Most Brand Potential", etc. Nowadays, children's clothing has become an important pole of Jimo textile and clothing industry.
From offline to online

Fortunately, both of them were outgoing, optimistic and very familiar with the products, which soon attracted a large number of fans. Today, their account has more than 800000 fans.
Around the Jimo clothing market, there are more than 2000 e-commerce merchants like Li Jing. In 2020, Jimo District will invest in the construction of a live broadcast e-commerce digital economy industrial park, settle in live broadcast e-commerce institutions such as Moyun Live, Tencent Spots, Qingchuangcheng, and Feilu Technology, establish a live broadcast e-commerce industry association in Qingdao, cultivate and incubate network anchors, and radiate and drive the clothing market and surrounding live broadcast businesses. According to the statistics of Jimo District Bureau of Commerce, in 2023, Jimo District will achieve an online retail sales of 13.5 billion yuan, 5349 e-commerce retail businesses, 21122 online stores and 21989 direct employees. There were 888 anchors with goods, 142000 live broadcasts, and the retail sales of live broadcasts exceeded 2.35 billion yuan. Among them, the online retail sales of clothing, shoes and hats and textiles account for up to 50% of the total volume of the physical first-class industry in the region.
