Global Economy: Clothing Exports Of Sri Lanka Increased By 1% Year On Year In November

The Sri Lankan Daily Mirror reported on December 30 that, according to the data compiled by the Joint Clothing Association Forum (JAAF), in November 2024, Sri Lankan clothing exports increased slightly by 1.03% year-on-year to 374.94 million dollars, thanks to the increase in shipments to the United States and the United Kingdom.

The United States is the largest export and market of Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka's exports to the United States increased by 2.05% year-on-year to 1439.8 million dollars, and its exports to the United Kingdom increased by 4.74% year-on-year to 50.63 million dollars. Exports to the EU (excluding the UK) fell 8.6% year-on-year to 115.73 million US dollars.
