Jinjiang Will Build China'S Third National Sports Industry Base

Li Jianhui, mayor of Jinjiang, said that Jinjiang will strive to build China's third national sports industry base.

Jinjiang economy started with sports shoes, and then extended from sports shoes to sportswear, sports equipment and accessories. Now the Jinjiang sporting goods manufacturing industry has been relatively developed, and the sports industry contributes 18% to the city's GDP.

Jinjiang's sporting goods manufacturing industry has 37 state-level sports industry brands and 3 listed companies.

In December 18th last year, the State General Administration of sport approved Jinjiang to build a national sports industry base, which is the third national sports industry base after Shenzhen and Chengdu.

At present, the coastal sports and leisure industry zone planning has commissioned the development research center of the State Council to carry out the strategic research on the development of sports industry in Jinjiang; urban planning is negotiating with several planning companies such as the United Kingdom, Singapore and the United States; in the international investment aspect, it will introduce investors and operators of international large venues and events, and some large investors have visited Jinjiang.

The goal of building a national sports industry base in Jinjiang is to build a demonstration base for the development of the national sports industry, an important global sporting goods manufacturing base and a modern sports city with international influence.
