Recently, many textile and garment exhibitions in China came to Beijing. The survey of China clothing association shows that the domestic textile and garment industry is gradually recovering and developing steadily and healthfully. This year is the second year of the implementation of the textile revitalization plan and the beginning of the 10 year plan for the next industry.


According to the Ministry of industry data, the number of retail sales and retail sales of the major retail enterprises in February increased by 97.2% and 52.1% respectively over the same period, and the growth rate of retail sales in the first two months reached a new high in 2007. Retail sales of clothing products grew by 30.1% over the same period last year, and retail sales grew by 11.7% over the same period last year. Most clothing sales growth is better than the same period last year, sales growth of some commodities has returned to the level of 2007. In the first two months, 9 kinds of goods sold in the 12 main garments increased year by year and higher than the same period last year.


From 1 to February, the added value of the textile industry increased by 13.4% over the same period last year. The export figures for February were even bigger than expected: total exports amounted to US $12 billion 638 million, which has been increasing year by year for 3 consecutive months, an increase of 89.34%. In the first 2 months, exports increased by 29% over the same period last year.


Among them, the total export growth rate of textiles and clothing was 39.43% and 23.71% respectively. At present, the growth rate of textile exports has lasted for 5 months, faster than the growth rate of clothing, and the volume of textile exports has returned to the same level in 2008. This shows that as the international demand (especially in Europe and America) began to improve, the global textile enterprises started to pick up again, and the textile industry began to pick up.


Now the domestic market is in the recovery stage, and the new sales channels of franchised stores and outlets are developing rapidly, which will aggravate the competition of clothing brands in the retail channel, and the layout speed of foreign enterprises in the domestic market will also continue to accelerate. It is expected that the growth rate of Chinese clothing consumption in 2010 will be higher than that in 2009, and it will change the trend of continuous decline for two years. With the advancement of urbanization and the rapid development of the central and western regions, China's clothing consumption will usher in a golden growth period in the next 10 years.


It is predicted that the growth of Chinese clothing sales will exceed 25% in the first quarter of this year. With the rise of export prices, the export volume of textile and clothing will gradually increase. The rising price of textile raw materials and the increase of labor cost will erode the order profit of export enterprises and increase the contract price of export orders. In addition, with the further improvement of the global economy and the improvement of employment, the consumption psychological barriers of consumers in Europe and the United States have gradually been eliminated, especially the recovery of demand for high-end clothing, which is conducive to the improvement of export prices of textile and clothing. Shenzhen customs statistics show that 1~2 months, Shenzhen port textile and garment products exports 3 billion 330 million US dollars, an increase of 48.1% over the same period last year.


According to statistics, in the first 2 months, the export of textiles and garments at Shenzhen port was exported by US $2 billion 620 million in general trade mode, an increase of 70.2% over the same period last year, accounting for 78.7% of the total value of textile and garment exports in the same period, and 390 million US dollars in processing trade, down 16.3% from the same period last year. Among them, exports to Hongkong, China, were 860 million US dollars, an increase of 19.3% over the same period last year; exports to the EU were US $830 million, an increase of 93.2% over the same period last year; US exports to US $410 million, up 37.7% over the same period last year; exports to ASEAN were US $300 million, an increase of 89% over the same period last year; Latin American exports to emerging markets were 190 million US dollars, up by 73.9% over the same period last year; exports to Africa were 160 million dollars, up by a factor of two times over the same period last year.


In the first quarter, the export inspection of textiles and garments in Wujiang area of Jiangsu province was US $77 million 800 thousand and 3437 batches, an increase of 8.1% and 7.7% over the same period. Products are mainly exported to the United States, the European Union, Japan, Canada, Australia and other countries and regions. As the silk house and textile land, Wujiang is one of the pillar industries of Wujiang's exports. The export growth rate of the two major export markets, the United States and the European Union, has continued to rise. Exports of textiles and clothing to the United States amounted to US $35 million 748 thousand, an increase of 8.3% over the same period last year, and exports to European clothing amounted to US $19 million 390 thousand, an increase of 11.3% over the same period last year.
