Raw material prices fluctuate drastically

Some clothing factory owners said: "because the price of raw materials is changing too fast, many suppliers are changing every day, so we can not talk business with customers."

Also, the boss of export garment enterprises reflects: "the price of raw materials can only be maintained for about 10 days, but such quotations are not quoted for many customers, because many customers are now placing orders in the next few months.

This makes it difficult for customers to accept.

This situation has become a common practice for many enterprises. The root cause of the price fluctuation of fabrics is the uncertainty of cotton prices.

Reporters learned that the price of the same fabric at the end of 2010 is 11.5 yuan per meter, and by the beginning of 2011, less than a year has increased by 2 yuan per meter.

Some fabrics rose by 5%-20% in a quarter of time. Such price changes are not acceptable to merchants.

Personnel costs increased substantially

At the beginning of this year, a lot of textile enterprises appeared the phenomenon of "labor shortage", and also staged different "robbing people wars", and the problem of "labor shortage" was gradually spreading.

The owner of a garment factory said, "it is hard to recruit workers now, and they are demanding higher wages and better treatment.

But this undoubtedly raises the cost, and the factory price is naturally much higher.

With the gradual improvement of people's living standard, the wages of workers are also rising.

It is understood that this year, a total of 27 provinces and municipalities to raise or plan to raise the minimum wage standards, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Guangdong and other foreign trade provinces, the adjustment range is more than 10%, and some provinces even exceeded 20%, which also directly caused the rise in prices of production.

In Vietnam and Pakistan, the price of labor in the textile and garment industry is only 1/3 of China, and production in these countries is much cheaper than that in China.

According to the world trade organization's estimate, Bangladesh is now the third largest garment exporter after China and Turkey.

Hidden dangers in imported clothing

In May this year, the Shenzhen inspection and Quarantine Bureau supervised and destroyed a number of unqualified imported garments in accordance with the law.

The garments were imported from Italy, with a total of 55 pieces, valued at $4725.

In June, the Shanghai entry and exit inspection and Quarantine Bureau destroyed the 79 batches of unqualified imported middle and high end garments that were seized this year. The main producing areas of unqualified products were South Korea, Italy, Portugal, Morocco, Spain, India, Turkey, Bangladesh and so on.

The reason is that the PH content exceeds the standard and the color fastness is not up to standard.

ZARA is also a frequent visitor to the quality blacklist. Chinese consumers are "Bodhisattva" and let them make mistakes.

It has always been China's exports of foreign clothing to be strictly tested, qualified to be able to "go out of the country", and "enter the country" foreign brands, but few people pay attention to its quality problems.

Although orders for clothing brands flow abroad, they should be strictly controlled.

Chinese consumers should boycott all unqualified products. These big brands should also strictly control their own quality. If they have been faced with consumers in such a way, they would have smashed their brands sooner or later.
